Civics SOL Information
Una traducción al español está abajo.
No word yet concerning tomorrow. However I did want to get information out to parents of 8th graders in Mr. Spencer’s semester-long Civics classes as the students’ SOL test is scheduled for tomorrow.
Note: Ms. Budziszewski’s students will take the Civics SOL test in May.
Additional information from our school testing coordinator:
Please help your children to do their best on the test by encouraging them to get a good night’s sleep and eat breakfast before the test! Also, students will be using their school-assigned laptops to take the test, so it is important that they bring their laptops to school, fully charged. If you could help them remember to plug their computers in to charge the night before their test, that would be very helpful! They should also bring their computer chargers to school on the day of the test in case it is needed. If your child has lost his/her charger, a new one can be purchased by sending in a check for $27.50 (made out to Burley Middle School). Lastly, cell phones are not allowed in the testing locations, so students need to leave their phones at home. Thank you!
Also, as a reminder to all:
Friday, 1/18 is a half day (students are dismissed at 1:05 p.m.). Monday, 1/21, is a holiday for Martin Luther King, Jr., and Tuesday, 1/22, is a teacher workday (no students).
