4. For 8th grade students in semester-long science classes (with Ms. Cooke or Ms. Lewis): SOL testing is January 15. Info from our testing coordinator:
Please help your children to do their best on the tests by encouraging them to get a good night’s sleep and eat breakfast before the tests! Also, students will be using their school-assigned laptops to take the test so it is important that they bring their laptops to school, fully charged. If you could help them remember to plug their computers in to charge on the nights before their tests, that would be very helpful! They should also bring their computer chargers to school on the days they will be testing. If your child has lost his/her charger, a new one can be purchased by sending in a check for $27.50 (made out to Burley Middle School).
Any student who is late, absent, or picked up early, will not be able to test with his peers on the scheduled testing day.
Lastly, cell phones are not allowed in the testing locations, so students need to leave their phones at home or in their lockers. Thank you!
5. For 8th grade students who will attend AHS next year: Information from AHS:
